Satellite TV offers more channels and generally gives you a better offer and more of what you pay for than Cable TV. Direct TV supports up to 225 channels and Dish Network supports up to 500. Both of these Satellite TV providers offer exclusive sports and international packages that are not available with your local cable provider. Also, cable or digital cable may not be available in your area.

Dish Network Programming

The Dish Network has several different programming packages that you can choose from. Some of these include: America's Top 60, America's Top 60 Plus, America's Top 120, America's Top 180 and America's "Everything" Pak. They also offer some good deals on movie package bundles for HBO®, Cinemax®, Showtime and Stars. What's more, Local Channels are now included with the America’s Top 60 Plus Programming package. Basically the more you pay the more you get, just like everything else in life. Even if you opt for the America's Top 60 you will have a nice selection of programming. However, if you are serious about your entertainment then you will probably want to go for the America's Top 180. This would give you a great number of channels. If you think that you might even get bored with that then you might be a good candidate for the America's "Everything" Pak which includes a bunch of movie channels and costs a bit more per month.
